International Workshop on Resource Risk Management
Part I. Tutorial Seminar: Optimization under Uncertainty and Robust Optimization
Tutor: Dr. Fabio D'Andreagiovanni (Zuse-Institut Berlin (ZIB), Germany)
1) An introduction to Optimization under Uncertainty
This provides an overall view of how to deal with data uncertainty in optimization problems, giving also a short introduction to techniques like Chance Constrained and Stochastic Programming.
2) Robust Optimization : Theory and Applications
This focuses on the robust paradigm introducing the Bertsimas-Sim model, multiband robustness and showing some real-world studies conducted.
Part II. Tutorial Session: Discrete Optimization to deal with Resource Harvest Scheduling
Tutor: Atsushi Yoshimoto (Institute of Statistical Mathematics)
1) An introduction to Resource Harvest Scheduling and Applications
This provides introductory lecture on resource harvest scheduling and tools to formulate and solve the problems.
